S’Mores for Kids!

What kid (parent, grandparent) doesn’t love s’mores? The best part is putting them all together and getting sticky and marshmallowy and then eating the results!

Thanks to volunteers from the Widowed Friends community, a lot of kids will have the opportunity to make s’mores this fall. As part of our Food For Life volunteering commitment, a group helped out building and packing s’mores kits for kids that will be distributed throughout Halton as part of their program to feed families at risk of hunger.

It was a great afternoon for all the volunteers.  Here are some pics from the event.
